WHAT IS CIRP?

The Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP) was developed to help fellow flight crew members cope with the possible emotional aftermath of a (serious) incident or accident which can occur during the  flight or at your layover station. We can also offer asssistance if you encounter (life) events that have an impact on your emotional well-being.

HOW DOES CIRP WORK?

Our CIRP teammebers are trained to assist pilots dealing with the possible emotional and physical (stress) reactions after (serious) incidents, accidents or events.

A Peer Support Volunteer  will call you a few days after the incident, please feel free to make use of the CIRP assistance.

The Volunteers are well aware of their limitations in dealing with these matters, they can refer you to professional help if this is desired.

An emotional reaction after serious incidents is a very normal reaction after an abnormal situation!

Also indivuduals tend to react differently after being involved in incidents, and this can also develop or change after some time.

Not all incidents reach CIRP and sometimes the severity of (multiple) incidents / events and the consequences to the individual's well-being are not evident to us.

We are authonomuos and work independent from the company. Confidentiality is guaranteed.

Please feel free to contact us at all times!
